The Arrowhead Coalition for Multiple Use (ACMU) supports all uses of our public lands for hiking, biking, birding, fishing, hunting, ATVing, snowmobiling, dog mushing, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, camping, logging, reforestation, and more. ACMU appreciates the treasure of the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) and agrees it should be protected—but not expanded. Memorial Blood Centers

Memorial Blood Centers provides blood products and biomedical services to benefit this community. Memorial Blood Centers is a non-profit, community blood center that supplies 36 hospitals, 20 of which are located in northern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin. Memorial Blood Centers has four Northland fixed sites and two traveling bloodmobiles specific to this region. Memorial Blood Centers directly supplies Cook County North Shore Hospital and is proud to be a member of the Greater Grand Marais Chamber of Commerce.

North House Folk School

North House Folk School, located on the Grand Marais harbor next to the historic fishing settlement and campground, offers over 200 courses and numerous special events that celebrate traditional northern crafts. From boatbuilding to timberframing, fiber arts to photography, foodways to basketry, courses are scheduled throughout the year and taught by over 70 artisans and craftsman.
